It was on December 7, 1931 that, in theory, the Ribeira do Neiva Dairy Agricultural Cooperative was born. On that date, it was the 2nd Cooperative that was created on the continent, and there were three more in the Azores.
But it is in February 1932 that the activity begins, being registered with the Commercial Registry of the District of Barcelos on July 11 of the same year.
Its founding partners are 30 and its headquarters is in Aldreu, having as social area parishes of three municipalities - Barcelos, Esposende and Viana do Castelo - namely:
Barcelos: Aldreu, Fragoso, Tregosa and Palme.
Esposende: Forjães, Vila-Chã and Curvos.
